The          Shand Files   Who’s Afraid of a Competitor’s App? Not us! If you’ve got one, we say bring it on—and we’ll bind and issue a policy from it!   Shand can now accept competitors’ applications for policy issuance for three of our product lines: Designed ProtectionSM for Architects & Engineers, Miscellaneous E&O (including IT) and Designed ProtectionSM for Law Firms.   When we receive a non-Shand application for quoting, we now have the ability to issue a policy with that app once we receive a completed Shand “bridge” application.   The bridge application is readily available on our website, www.shand.com, under Forms and Applications as, “Application Acceptance and Representation Statement,” ZZ31007. Or click on the link to access immediately.   Things to keep in mind when sending a competitor’s application:   ·   The app received must be for new business, and intended for the product line being quoted.   ·   It must be fully completed, and signed and dated within 60 days of the policy effective date.   ·   The app must include warranty and loss experience questions.   ·   Renewal applications and ACORD apps won’t be accepted.   This new submission policy was designed to make placing new business with us as easy as possible, so send us your apps—whether they’re ours or not!   For more information on our new submission policy, contact your Source One underwriter.
