Accessing Our Broker Website
If you’re not accessing Markel Shand’s SCOUT, or are not sure what it is, we want to remind you what you’re missing.
SCOUT is a web-based repository for a rich store of information about Markel Shand’s product lines. Each product-specific section of SCOUT contains the following information, which can be accessed 24/7:
· A-Z list by product line of acceptable and unacceptable classes
· Applications and policy wordings in Word format for all lines
· Minimum premiums for all classes for all product lines
SCOUT resides on the brokers-only part of our website, and can be accessed as follows:
· Go to the Markel Shand website, www.MarkelShand.com
· Click on "Broker Site"
· Click on "Log in" in the center of the page
· Enter your email address and password
o Don't have a password? Contact Tom Tompkins at ttompkins@markelcorp.com
o Want to change your password? Once you've been assigned a password by Markel Shand, you always have the option to change it.
o At the Broker site Home page, click on “User Profile” at the bottom of the menu and follow the prompts.
