An Easy “Bridge” from Competitor’s

App to Bound Policy

In case you didn’t know, Markel Shand will accept a competitor’s application for policy issuance when it is accompanied by our “bridge” application. Details follow:

· Upon receipt of a non-Markel Shand application requesting a quote, we can issue a policy with that app after receiving a completed Markel Shand “bridge” application for the following product lines.

o Designed Protection^SM for Architects & Engineers

o Miscellaneous E&O (including IT)

o Designed Protection^SM for Law Firms

o Specified Medical (except overnight care facilities)

· The app received must be for new business, and intended for the product line being quoted.

· It must be fully completed, and signed and dated within 60 days of the policy effective date.

· The app must include warranty and loss experience questions.

· Renewal applications and ACORD apps won’t be accepted.
